Chunky Hoop Earrings with Stone
I made a very small handful of these earrings in the past, but they're a little challenging for some reason, so I hadn't made any in awhile. Recently though, I was asked to make a pair using special stones the client purchased, and the stones (and woman) were so cool, I had to give the earrings a try again.
Aren't they beautiful? Zoom in on the stones--which are actually not stones. They're called Leland Blues and they're a byproduct from the iron ore smelting process in Michigan in the late 19th century.
This was such a fun project. I learned about Leland Blues and got to revisit a cool earring design. Would you like me to make a pair of earrings for you? Let me know what you have in mind and we'll go from there.
(In the second photo, you can see another pair I did awhile back. They're peridot set in gold.)
Price range on these is $160+ depending on stones and metals.
